Do you always tip delivery persons?

Would you tip the delivery person from:

a) the chinese takeaway?

b)tesco online shopping

c) Amazon.co.uk?

If so, how much? 10%??Do you always tip delivery persons?
i tip everyone, all the delivery, restaurants, cab drivers, hair stylists. And i am trying to give no l ess than 10%. It is probably, because i work at restaurants and i know how i feel if the tip is not enough.
Always tip people who deliver food. Ever seen the movie called Waiting? They can always mess with your food.Do you always tip delivery persons?
never, we dont need to tip in the uk.
delivery of pizza etc.we always give a pound...it's like an insurance policy so they don't spit on the pizza next time! lol

All the rest No.

Although if it was a delivery of something big and heavy, then yes, perhaps if they weren't all moany about it!Do you always tip delivery persons?
Yes, 10% would be good enough.
yes 拢2

TO BE HONEST BECAUSE IF WE GET A TAKEAWAY THEY CHARGE DELIVERY I NEVER THOUGHT TO TIP THE DELIVERER
Hello,

Oh what a lovely idea, yes I would tip them a couple of pounds, or 10%, for their very personal service, especially if what you are recieving at your home is in a very good conditional state, and the packaging is intact, and so are the goods contained within, the driver will remember you for ages, and will assure you of his /her complete attention for every time they would effect a delivery at your home, and it makes the service more special to you and the driver, good luck with all your deliveries........ I follow (when I feel I should ) the rule that I never tip employees of a company that delivers something I bought since they are on the payroll of that company.

I never tip the postman each day that he delivers letters and bills and junk but at Christmas time, I think it over carefully and if he or she has been good and fairly accurate I hand him or her a sum in the ball park of ten or fifteen dollars.

When the pizza boy delivers a nice hot pizza, I check to see if he is driving his own car and if he is a give him more than if he is driving the company car...a tip in the neighborhood of two to three dollars.

Any other delivery person has to show that he is going out of his or her way before I put my hand in my pocket to give out a tip ( a term to indicate (t)o (i)nsure (p)erformance...for one example.)
yes I do at restaurants and delivery. It is only fair. they wait on you. they drive to you in bad weather so tip them. I tip 2$ for delivery and it depends on how much the restaurant bill is..
you should always tip people delivering food (10 - 15 %). Many retailers forbid employees to accept tips. Don't tip parcel- delivery workers. in some cultures it is considered rude not to tip and vice versa in others. there are many guidelines for different circumstances and cultures.
Am from the US. I tip all deliveries. But they don"t make that much money here in the States.
I think it is universal to tip takeaway delivery people because they are amongst the least paid. Me about 10-15%.

The others, no.

I don't tip. Like Kassi says, they charge a delivery charge. They'll be getting minimum wage, so they're no worse off than anyone else getting minimum wage. The idea behind tipping is to ensure good service, like when you're being waited on in a restaurant. I don't think driving to your door and handing you your food really counts. You don't tip the postman when he delivers a parcel, and he's probably no better paid. Plus I don't think they expect it to be honest.

As for b) and c), it's mostly done by computers, so your money would be going straight into the pockets of some of the richest people in Britain. Plus, I didn't realise you actually could.
Always! It is part of your order! (Delivery) And they do not make much.
No you don't tip delivery people. Restaurants is normal but make sure you read the menu because some restaurants state that a service charge will be added to the bill so if you tip you are tipping twice. It is always best to ask if service is included.
i'm a teenager we dont tip psssssh(US)
I would tip delivery people a small amount if they were polite, and would tip around 10% in a restaurant if I was impressed with the service.
I can't afford to go anywhere at the moment where I would have to tip, but I worked as a waitress once and the pay was so poor, we relied on our tips. As for deliveries, I don't tip.
Definitely not. They get paid enough and most are on benefits too.
no. Noone ever tips me to do my job!
if they were chinese i might do because i like them.
Only tip if you feel you want to.
