The saying is "a lie can travel around the world, before the truth can even step out the door". So I was wondering where certain racial stereotypes come from?
I am an Asian guy. I grew up in the Midwest. Some white girl told that I have a small penis, until I showed her that I don't.
Asian people make up less than 5% of the population. Asian men make up about 2% of the population. The extent that people have any contact with another Asian person is their Chinese delivery man or co-worker. Many haven't even an Asian person. Asian men are not in the media. They are not in porn. Even in Asia, where porn is illegal except for Japan. So most Asian-Asian porn is Japanese. So not many people have seen an Asian man naked, certainly not over 1 billion of them.
So what gives? Is racial stereotype a way to enforce social hiearchy and dehumanize people like me?
Some people will give bogus studies by white institution to give suppor to stereotype, but not long ago, pseudo scientific research were used to justify genocide against blacks, native american and jews.
Research itself is not conclusive when there is a hidden agenda behind it.
I browse the internet a lot and whenever there is a mention of "Asian guys" there will be countless of small penis stereotypes. I don't understand why people are so damn stupid. I think a lot of white people create stereotypes to dehumanize minorities and marginalize them. These stereotypes also serve to reinforece white supremacy. What is origin of racial stereotypes?
If you spend some time in China or Japan or any other Asian country, you will find that they have equally demeaning stereotypes of white people.
It is just a nature of people to distrust and insult those who are different from them. Most adults get over it, but you cannot expect that kind of maturity from teens on the Internet.
Ethnocentrism and a fear/distrust of things/people who are different. What is origin of racial stereotypes?
I blame this on Hollywood movie producers.
Well, I think certainly, that you have been the victim of racial stereotyping.
To answer your questions, where does such stereotyping come frrom: It comes from people, who see characteristics in one member of a race, then another person of that race, and soon they conclude that all people of that race are that way. It is an unfair and of course inaccurate generalization.
People use statistics and so-called research to try to prove all kinds of things all the time.
What are people so stupid? To me, it is more that they are lazy. They don't check things out for themselves or think thoroughly before drawing their racial conclusions or believing the conclusions of others.
I want to deal with one of your statments: "I think a lot of white people create stereotypes to dehumanize minorities and marginalize them. These stereotypes also serve to reinforece white supremacy":
First, I don't feel white people create stereatypes with a specific purpose in mind. I think rather stereotypes grow over time and biases are shared. I don't think they are due to any conspiracy, rather to human weakness and annoyance that becomes malice.
Second, do you realize that when you say "white people" you yourself are guilty of bias? White people are not the only ones guilty of stereotyping. I've heard Asian people are very prejudiced--against other Asians (I've only heard this, haven't been able to verify it totally). Most people, in every place on this planet and in every culture, are prejudiced, biased and harbor racial stereotypes.
It's unfair and sad and it's not right, but it's very human, and all you can really do (other than some positive depictions of asians, say, in the media) is to combat it where you find it--with truth. What is origin of racial stereotypes?
Mike Donaldson has been researching a lot of the ideas that you're covering . He uses the term 'hegemonic masculinty' to show how 'race' is being used to shore up mens images of their own 'superior' images of themselves

Big black border collie, mom?
I dreamed that a Chinese delivery man was delivering takeout and had a big black border collie chase him. first he got away, but came back to pickup the dropped food and the dog chased him again and again the delivery man got away.
so I tell myself my dad and two brothers are home I'm ok, but remembered that my mom was coming home soon and so I had to watchout for her. she arrives with someone in the car. she gets out and I see the dog cross the street and try to go to her, but I take my sandal off and try to hit it and the dog runs away.
I still remember it since this morning and I can't figure it out.Big black border collie, mom?
It might be just a coincidence and you don't have to worry about it. Have you ever had some dreams you have not figured out? If so, this dream may mean chinese culture will play a big part in your life some day, and maybe a black border collie might too.Big black border collie, mom?
Some body wants to give /deliver some thing to you.It may be money or food items. Some of your enemy is trying to block it.

I read something interesting, what do you think? (a little long)?
A while back I read an interesting article. It said that we inherited a tribalism trait from our ancestors (don't quote me on the terminology). It said that our ancestors were part of tribes our groups and their survival meant the destruction of an opposing tribe, or that the survival of the opposing tribe meant the destruction of your own. So because of this our ancestors had to be able to spot those which were different and kill them.
This trait today, forces us to point out those that are different and view them as enemies. Which explains things like racism, nationalism, etc.
A study was done on delinquent youths and they were asked if it was ok to steal from an elderly lady. They said it was not ok, and then they were asked who it would be ok to steal from. And they responded "maybe the Chinese delivery guy." They came to the conclusion that because the delivery man was different, it was ok to rob him. I was wondering what everyone else thinks on it.I read something interesting, what do you think? (a little long)?
This doesn't sound like a scientific theory. It sounds like a sociological assumption, kitted out as biology.
There was a British school teacher in the 1960's who divided her class into the blues and the reds. Blues were taught that reds were inferior. At the end of the game the belief persisted. Some "reds" were still having trouble with the "issue" 20 years later. The sides were chosen randomly.
Humans like to hate. Difference is irrelevant.I read something interesting, what do you think? (a little long)?
In a general sense, there is no question that our primate past explains much of our violence

Bright orange-ish red sweet and sour sauce recipe?????
I am looking for the recipe for the really sweet bright orange-ish red sweet and sour sauce that you get from the cheap drive thru or delivery Chinese resturaunts. I have looked over soooo many different sweet and sour sauce recipes, and made a few but none are the copycat of the one you can get at these resturaunts. Idon't think this one has and soy sauce or red pepper in it because it is so bright red-orange (like neon) and has no spice to it, just sweet, like the pinapple juice. My upstairs neighbor found out we know her fiancee is a register sex offender but why is that a big deal?
I have been living at my Apartment for four months now with my boyfriend of seven years my sister and her baby, a month after we moved in we got new neighbors a women and her fiancee who at first seemed unordinary to us by their strange behavior apparently she receives social security disability for bipolar schizophrenia and other mental Illnesses also. her fiancee works although by his appearance i thought he would be on social security disability too, plus both are overweight even though that has nothing to do with anything either, we tried socializing with them on a everyday basis her fiancee around the clock and she's always upstairs sleeping or goes to the store is really when we see her besides checking the mail. we had a argument when they called the maintenance man on us saying we were banging which we wasen't she was hearing things) after that everything became more intense like them slamming doors and stumping, she even gave me an attitude over a chinese delivery man delivering her food. because we don't eat chinese food and didin't know if he had the wrong address which has been happening alot lately, she has been taking by ambulance to the psychiatric ward alot lately also and is now on medication. well the other night i was on the internet searching up sex offenders in my state is that is when i realized his name with his picture i was talking to a friend of theirs about this on facebook but he no longer is my friend because running back telling them, anyway one day she came downstairs and knocked on our door and i went to answer it she said i heard you know my fiancee is a registered sex offender how does that make you feel? i paused and said nothing for awhile then finally said i don't care, she replied good and left. i was confused but later forgot on several occasions she asked questions like how did you find out? why is this such a big deal that we know about this? we have a year lease and were not gonna move away because her fiancee is a register sex offender! anyone have any suggestions/advise on this please? thank you-My upstairs neighbor found out we know her fiancee is a register sex offender but why is that a big deal?
This could be a couple different things, they could have social problems, they could be very embarrassed about his situation and probably had to deal with a lot of prejudice of his situation and that may be why she confronted you, if you said something negative, maybe she would have told you to **** off.. .. Being labeled a sex offender is a very difficult thing, as horrible of a crime as it usually is, it sucks that a persons past, or mental health causes so much hatred towards them. They might be people who are quick to react to people, maybe having been through a lot of neighbors in the past who were rude or did things to them or said things... either way, they are probably under a lot of pressure, probably stay away from them unless you find an opportunity to talk with them and let them know that you have no negative feelings towards his situation.. good luckMy upstairs neighbor found out we know her fiancee is a register sex offender but why is that a big deal?
I would avoid them. Just tell her the next time she asks that you were just on the internet and came across it. You just said she is ill and on meds, that's unbalanced. Trust me, they deserve one another.

Is it worth taking them to court, and can I make them pay my legal expenses?
Long story short, I'm in college and my roommate and I often ordered Chinese delivery together. Later we were contacted by the restaurant and my friend was refunded an amount of money because they claimed to have charged her double in the past.
Well, after hearing that I decided to check my account out of curiosity to be sure it wasn't done to me. Turned out that I had been charged double as well. My friend and I compared our bank statements to be sure the refund wasn't to supposed to have been mine. Her bank statement showed double charges as well on the same dates that it happened to me.
I explained all of this to the Chinese restaurant but he insists that he had already given the money back. The total for all of the double charges adds up to almost $50, and I'm not ready to let it go. If I need to I will drag them to court. College is expensive and I can't afford to lose ANY money.
I want so badly to take my claim to court, and I know that I would win as our bank statements are evidence enough. But will the restaurant be liable to pay my legal expenses if I do win?Is it worth taking them to court, and can I make them pay my legal expenses?
Small claims court is the way to go. It won't be worth the trouble to get the money back, but it will prove a point.
There are certain laws that let you recoup legal expenses, but they all stipulate reasonable amounts, and you wouldn't get away with a $10,000 legal bill over a $50 dispute.
Another, probably better, option is to complain to your bank. If you used the Visa/Mastercard feature, a successful dispute could lead to a bad record on their merchant account, and they don't want too many of those.
It's a shame some of these places haven't learned that good service and honesty are how you make it in business in this country.
File in small claims on your own. You should be able to find the procedures for your court jurisdiction on the internet easily enough. It will only cost you a filing fee and you're very likely to win. Is it worth taking them to court, and can I make them pay my legal expenses?
Go visit him with the statements. People can be a lot easier to deal with than you think.
Btw, for a broke college student you sure spend a lot on Chinese food! Just kidding.
The thing I'm confused with is how on earth do you claim to not be able to lose any money, yet your able to order $50 worth of Chinese food over a period of time?Is it worth taking them to court, and can I make them pay my legal expenses?
I don't want to answer With a question of my own but here goes. How much could you get done in studying time or resting or relaxing with friends? For fifty dollars is it worth what the restaurant owner is doing to you he hasn't given you a moment of thought while you are letting him in to disrupt much of you life that he has no Business to. So start a tally with the fifty dollars and the hourly fee that you think your time is worth and the time it will take in civil court I don't see punitive damages so if as you say you can prove with every statement that he is into you for the fifty and you win the whole fifty back what is it worth now?
Taking a restaurant to court for just the amount of $50. doesn't worth it! Why not just go and to the restaurant and show them that they charge you double. As long as you have the receipt as your evidence and your bank account as well.
Lawyers are not interested to take your case, since you don't have a real case (no money for them in your case). Ask the Restaurant about it but make sure that you're certain about them double charging you. Best of luck.

How do you report a GPS error?
I don't want to reveal my actual address, so I'm going to use a made-up street name. Let's say the street I live on is "Mistake Drive". Every GPS system I've tried cannot find the street unless you type it in as "Mstake Drive". Yahoo Maps will only find it if you type it in this way also. Google maps cannot find it either way. Mapquest is the only service I've found thus far that recognizes it the right way as "Mistake Drive". This is a huge inconvience b/c any delivery service that uses GPS cannot find my new home. For example Stanley Steemer, Directv, Kittle's Furniture, and a local chinese delivery all got lost b/c they couldn't find my house.
Does anyone know of any way to report this error? How do you report a GPS error?
Not that I know of but even if you could, it would take years to resolve properly. The gps units use maps which are either downloaded or factory installed so the update wouldn't work until most people either updated their systems or bought new units.
You might want to contact Garmin (or another large GPS co.) and ask them if they all use the same map source.

Are you an engineer and can understand these engineering definitions?
Major Technological Breakthrough
Back to the drawing board.
Developed after years of intensive research
It was discovered by accident.
The designs are well within allowable limits
We just made it, stretching a point or two.
Test results were extremely gratifying
It works, and are we surprised!
Customer satisfaction is believed assured
We are so far behind schedule that the customer was happy to get anything at all.
Close project coordination
We should have asked someone else; or, let's spread the responsibility for this.
Project slightly behind original schedule due to unforeseen difficulties
We are working on something else.
The design will be finalized in the next reporting period
We haven't started this job yet, but we've got to say something.
A number of different approaches are being tried
We don't know where we're going, but we're moving.
Extensive effort is being applied on a fresh approach to the problem
We just hired three new guys; we'll let them kick it around for a while.
Preliminary operational tests are inconclusive
The darn thing blew up when we threw the switch.
The entire concept will have to be abandoned
The only guy who understood the thing quit.
Modifications are underway to correct certain minor difficulties
We threw the whole thing out and are starting from scratch.
Essentially complete.
Half done.
We predict...
We hope to God!
Drawing release is lagging.
Not a single drawing exists
.
Risk is high, but acceptable.
100 to 1 odds, or with 10 times the budget and 10 times the manpower, we may
have a 50/50 chance.
Serious, but not insurmountable, problems.
It will take a miracle. God should be the program manager.
Not well defined.
Nobody has thought about it.
Requires further analysis and management attention.
Totally out of control.
The project is designed for high availability.
Malfunctions will be blamed on the operators mistakes
This project has low maintenance requirements.
We wouldn't let the technicians change a light bulb, much less fool around with our baby.
The software is being developed without excessive process overhead.
The documentation will be written in clear and lucid Chinese.
The delivery is scheduled for the last quarter of next year.
This leaves us plenty of time to decide who to blame for it being late. Are you an engineer and can understand these engineering definitions?

How much tip do u give the delivery guy?
how much are u suppose to tip the chinese guy or pizza man who delivers ur food and how much do u tip ur barberHow much tip do u give the delivery guy?
i dont tip any delivery guy and i never tipped my hairdresser
but i do tip waiters
I don't understand this comment ended up being the Best Answer. Just like some other comments that did not make it to the top, you are expected to tip the delivery person - Chinese, pizza or any type of food.
depends on several variables. 1) where do you live? A big city you need to tip a little more than in smaller cities. 2)What is being delivered and where is it going? You are not going to tip for a "letter " being delivered by the mailman. If I had a large delivery (firewood, building materials) if it was dropped in front of my house....no tip. If a delivery person goes the extra mile (drops ther firewood in my backyard) and does something not required....definately tip. You are not expected to tip ups, fedex, appliance deliveries, cable or phone people. But if they do something extra...by all means. I have had great service from cable installers --- computer guys and other traditionally non-tipped service people....I will offer them a bottle of water of soda out of my fridge to take with them. Groceries about 50 cents a bag.....never less than a dollar
I dont tip the chinese delivery man anything because the delivery charge is 6.00.
I tip the pizza man 2.00 since its just 4 minutes away. How much tip do u give the delivery guy?
3 to 5 dollars for food and 10 dollars for the barber.
$5 to all of em.
Depends on where you live.

I don't understand this comment ended up being the Best Answer. Just like some other comments that did not make it to the top, you are expected to tip the delivery person - Chinese, pizza or any type of food.

How much tip do u give the delivery guy?depends on several variables.
Do you know who this comedian is?
I was watching tv today and this guy came up and started talking about chinese people. By the quality of the video you can tell its old. In his skit he talked about how in chinese delivery places they will just agree with everything you say. For example you ask "oh this has vegetables in it" the chinese guy will respond "yea yea vegetable, everything, yea vegetable". He also talked about how when they speak chinese they dont even have sentences. they just talk slower to end there sentences.
do you havea any idea who this comedian is or where i can find this videoDo you know who this comedian is?

What do you do when you are REALLY hungry but have soo much nausea u think u will puke?
=( i think im having a migraine and i can barely move, and i feel like i am going to puke. I am REALLY hungry but feel like puking, also dont have any food at home anyway, so ordered online but that wont come until tomorrow.. so i thought chinese soup from a chinese delivery, would that work? would sweet and sour soup help me? (lol its supposed to be good when you are ill and clear your head)
seriously what do you do when you are sooo hungry but feel like puking, what do you eat? please dont say toast (or anything solid at this point lol) as I am allergic to yeast, and that would simply make me sicker...
is there any food that one could get delivery that would be ok when you feel like puking? (i could only think of chinese soup)
or do you just eat and risk puking in this circumstance? What do you do when you are REALLY hungry but have soo much nausea u think u will puke?
have some liquids, you're right, soup is good. ITs better if you wait until your stomach has settled...but if you cant then soup is a good option. As is yoghurt and other liquid based foods.
Try to make sure that you a little bit better before you try to get anything down.
eat it slowly and carefully or phone a friend or smeone thats nearby and ask them to help you by getting you a dish so you dont have to get up if you do throw up!
If you feel like your gonna throw up while you're eating then you should stop immediatly...and have some water, then wait until your stomach has settled before you try again :)
have food that is very bland and if you want something else have something like an ice lolly from iceland!
Avoid any spicy or exotic foods until you are well.....and get to a doctor right away.......It is possible that you may have an infected colon......Taking 4 Advils will relieve that....within minutes....but it is also possible that if you still have your appendix.....it may be appendicitis.....don't play around.....if your appendix bursts......you can go directly into peritonitis....and that is a killer.... Don't risk your life,,,...you only get one......Call 911 if necessary...What do you do when you are REALLY hungry but have soo much nausea u think u will puke?
If you are suffering from migraine's , try excedrin migraine, works for some people. Nothing seems to work for me except a dark room, cold cloth, and time. But when you feel pukey, start off slow , with clear liquids..and then maybe some toast, crackers..and work you way up. I hope you feel better soon. If you have the headaches often or even every few months, please see a dr. to get diagnose. Good luck!
Yup, i would try eating, anything.
Carbs are good.
I've been having the hungry/sick struggle for a while (i'm on penicillin - not fun)
Once you eat (or try) you'll feel better soon afterwards.
And (assuming it is a migraine) try paracetamol and sleep. (Y)What do you do when you are REALLY hungry but have soo much nausea u think u will puke?
It's probably the ginger in the soup. Ginger is used to help nausea in eastern countries. When having my second child I had severe sickness and lived on dry cream crackers. I think you're best eating something light, not too rich or greasy. Hope you feel better soon xxx
Sip some cool water and if possible eat a bit of something innocuous that won't taste awful if it comes back up, such as cucumbers or something like that. Soup sounds good, too.
I hope you feel better soon.
Why don't you phone the NHS Help-line - they can advise you - otherwise go out and buy a tin or packet of chicken soup - the Jewish cure-all ! ! !
Just eat. Soup if that's what you feel like, but being sick isn't so bad and it might make you feel better. Wont hurt as much if youve eaten anyway.
Try some chicken bouillon and soda crackers. That usually stays down for me.
I find that a glass of cool milk works when I feel like that. Line's the stomach and is easy to keep down.
Get well soon
Having been a slave to migraines, I always had orange Popsicles in the freezer. They still work even though I don't have the headaches any longer. (I found out what caused them, divorced him, and the pain went away.)
I also drank Jell-o water. Boil a cup of water and mix half the packet of Jell-o in it. Sip it while it's still hot. Settles the stomach because of the heat and the sugar content.
I am hypoglycemic. When I don't pay attention to meals, I find that a slice of cheese, a spoonful of peanut butter or a baked chicken breast will help when I am hungry but nauseous. (I always have baked chicken in the 'fridge.)
You need food in your tummy, so take a chance if the Chinese sounds good.

Has anyone ever been a delivery driver and actually received payment from girls other than with cash?
I am in college and deliver Chinese food. Last night I delivered food to a house and there were probably a dozen people there. Friends having a party I guess. The bill was $109. The guy who answered the door said that his girlfriend would give me a bj if I took $50 off. This was the first time anything like this has happened to me. I said no thanks. Should I have accepted the offer? Has any girl ever done this?Has anyone ever been a delivery driver and actually received payment from girls other than with cash?
lol, you probably should have done it, then youd have a story to tell your friends. i do think its funny that most guys that answered were all for it and most of the girls that answered were against it
it happened to me but i got paid and got a bjHas anyone ever been a delivery driver and actually received payment from girls other than with cash?
she would have given you a bj and money
It would be dumb for any guy to do this. The restaurant wants their cash, so if you took the $50 off, you'd still owe the restaurant, so YOU'd wind up paying $50 for a bj.
Some girls really know how to pick boyfriends. NOT!Has anyone ever been a delivery driver and actually received payment from girls other than with cash?
Well first off, he was probably joking, second I don't think that happens very often and if they were serious then you did the right thing!
yuck..it would have bothered me that they were willing to give a complete stranger oral for $50..kinda cheap if you ask me. Tells you what type of people you were dealing with. I think you did the right thing. Good for you!
STRANGE your asking this but you will never 4 get that missed opportunity. see your still talking about it.
dude....you should have done it...i bet that it wasnt only a bj...but sex also...its worth...
I worked room service in a hotel while in high school. A woman invited me back up once I got off of work. She was very hot but I chickened out and never went back. I still hate myself for passing up on that because now I will never know what could have happened.
you lost money with that one Hun just to let you know!
This is not a porno site guys.
That鈥檚 just so lame for any girls to be ready to do that and even more sick that her bf would allow such thing. You did well to say no. You never know what kind of std鈥檚 such low moral people might have鈥?/div>

PLEASE if anyone works in one of the drive-thru resturaunts or prepared a copycat recipe HELP!Bright orange-ish red sweet and sour sauce recipe?????

Gah soooo? Be stin be? Wha raa? Ch-wahtah?
That is how my Chinese delivery order was read back to me. What are the chances I am going to get General Tso's chicken, beef and string bean and white rice and cheese wontons?
....and do you ever wonder if that if after the guy that answers the phone hangs up, he reads the order back to the cook in perfect english?Gah soooo? Be stin be? Wha raa? Ch-wahtah?
Me sow mi dulman an cook i yo sen..Gah soooo? Be stin be? Wha raa? Ch-wahtah?
Your chances are very good of getting the correct order. For even though they couldn't speak English correctly, they could hear and understand your english. It's hard enough for someone who wasn't born into an English speaking family to learn English, without some people criticizing them for speaking phonetically. And no, I don't wonder that.

Is what i witnessed today in any way sad?
i ordered a chinese take away,
im fortunate enough to be a able to pay for a large order for my family.
any way i feared our plans together were getting cancelled tonight so when the delivery arrived i didn't want to open the door and pay for some thing which was going to be useless to me.
in my head i was thinking well this restaurant makes allot of money and charges a lot any way.. still it isn't one of those large capitalist companies... a small 'chain' of chinese restaurants.
after my family all came round, so i decided i wanted the chinese delivery and called the restuarne again to come over, I haven't ever done any thing like this before but i moved in with my husband who is desperately trying to save... and im a stupid young wife.
any way, my parents asked to call the resturant and they will pay for it they didnt want to do any thing like that.
The resturant just sent the delivery man again.
When i answered the door, he was an Old chinese man, who was freezing and he was very very nice. He said the restaurant called just him a liar and said he was just unable to deliver the goods, they were calling about the delivery but in the end they just decided to blame him.
He was saying, he told them he wasn't lieing but they didn't believe him, and he was so nice....
he was old and doing this job, while im much younger and i feel so lucky but some times im still miserable and not as nice.... but he was able to be very nice, i told him to take care of himself and the way he looked and shock his hand showed he was quite a nice person.
i didn't give him any tip.
he was very old.
im always worried about the comfort of my parents or grand parents when im with them, but this very old person was freezing in the cold going about on his motor bike, he looked very tired and still being very nice in a well mannered way.Is what i witnessed today in any way sad?
Yes, YOU are sad.
You should have not only tipped the guy a huge tip, you should have called the restaurant and told them it was all your fault the delivery wasn't made. This guy could get fired because of you.
I seriously hope you're just a troll.
Let's see
im fortunate enough to be a able to pay for a large order for my family.
AND
I haven't ever done any thing like this before but i moved in with my husband who is desperately trying to save... and im a stupid young wife.
YEP. TROLL
Everyone makes mistakes. You should try to make amends, by explaining to his boss immediately, dont wait.Is what i witnessed today in any way sad?
You didn't tip him because he was old? On a motor bike carrying Chinese food? I hope you choke on an egg roll young wife troll.
Why do you trolls insist on using such poor English?
At least let us mere mortals understand what you have said so we can get properly offended by it!Is what i witnessed today in any way sad?
I'm not sure who I feel worse for him for his hassles or you for the fact you wronged him and don't even seem to see it.
Please don't worry about it. They will already have their revenge by spitting in all your food. I would.
In a way I guess it is sad. Sounds like he's working because his family isn't or doesn't want to support him.
"... and im a stupid young wife."
Got that right.
He tried to scam you. In reality he makes 230,000 a year.

Can marijuana make you go crazy?
i go to drug counceling %26amp; my therapist kept telling me that if i continue smoking, i will go crazy. i thought she was trying to use scare tactics to get me to stop smoking, but lately i've started hearing things %26amp; become convinced of strange situations like 1)i'm dead %26amp; in hell, repeating my life over %26amp; over %26amp; 2) the chinese delivery guy sneaking into my house and going to kill me %26amp; that he was outside my bedroom door (took me a like an hour to actually look %26amp; realize it wasn't true)Can marijuana make you go crazy?
Sure Marijuana makes you crazy (and I should know, I'm smoking some right now) but then again everything can make you crazy. Paranoia is a common side effect of Marijuana use. But you can't just blame the drug there are many many contributing factors. However if you are experiencing extreme paranoic episodes, it would be a good idea to lay of the bud for a while.
Pot wouldn't do that. Could someone be putting something else on it? like a hallucinogen? Can marijuana make you go crazy?
no i really don't think so lay off of the pot and you won't be so paranoid
If marijuana alone did that to you, you'd be extremely wise to stop doing it. It's often "cut" with other drugs, so be very careful if you choose to continue using it. Please note: auditory and visual halucinations are usually associated with much harder drugs...
"Recreational" drugs, of any kind, are a bad idea either way, imo.Can marijuana make you go crazy?
I don't know about crazy but marijuana affects memory, judgment and perception. Learning and attention skills are impaired among people who use marijuana heavily. Longitudinal research on marijuana use among young people below college age indicates those who use marijuana have lower achievement than the non-users, more acceptance of deviant behavior, more delinquent behavior and aggression, greater rebelliousness, poorer relationships with parents, and more associations with delinquent and drug-using friends.
People who smoke marijuana often have the same respiratory problems as cigarette smokers. These individuals may have daily cough and phlegm, symptoms of chronic bronchitis, and more frequent chest colds. They are also at greater risk of getting lung infections like pneumonia. Marijuana contains some of the same, and sometimes even more, of the cancer-causing chemicals found in cigarette smoke.
the drug itself will not result in a health person going crazy .
i think i know you should take the bit about being dead and gong to hell as a huge warning signal. no joke here. if that is what you have been seeing or thinking you see you better alter your life style big time and start going to church and reading the bible .
hell is not a joke or a made up place sorry folks its a place where you will go and remain as if alive feeling everything that you feel now but demand will come into the dark cell your in and tear the flesh from your body you wont die or faint you will feel it
you will be put in a lake a real lake of molten lava and you wont die or faint you will just remain and fee. the pain . this will go on forever. period
I don't know what you're smoking but that doesn't sound like pot.
Other chemicals are added to pot sometimes that have psychogenic effects, so you may have gotten some doctored pot.
There are also several different elements in pot resin that are psychogenic, the ratio of these elements can be very different depending on the strain of pot, where and how it was grown and the maturity of the resins.
If you have pot making you feel like that, I would definately stop. If you are in drug counseling you should not be smoking pot anyway.
hugs not drugs
look, i don't think it's the pot...could be the other drugs you have taken...or something mixed with pot in a joint...but would pot alone do what you describe above, no.
marijuana does cause paranoia in a decent percentage of people, but it won't make you crazy. at least a case like that has never been documented.
but since you've used other drugs you may have other issues, including 'going crazy'.
drugs do affect your brain so i think it is possible. you hear of the things that people on drugs do, which would terrify a non-user. people kill, steal hurt themselves and their loved ones. i heard of someone who sold her daughter to a man to prostitute her( she was 9) just to get cash for drugs. can you honestly tell me that a sane person can do that ? take care of your self, i wish you the best.

Conspiracy theory, burgers, Chinese, Pizza etc ?
Do all fast food delivery places have a joint code where they will absoloutely positively in some way screw up your order? Do these people even listen to you when you phone them? There's ALWAYS something missing or something wrong with your order! Arghh!Conspiracy theory, burgers, Chinese, Pizza etc ?
I don't wish to make you paranoid paranoid paranoid, but I have never had an erroneous order delivered to my home!
Pizza's as requested, chinese entirely accurate!...and kebabs exactly as the photo promised...but bigger and better!!!!
I wouldn't want to make you feel over sensitive but....do you get all the free drinks?...and delivery by flawlessly skinned young beauties?
calm down it happens to us all
its a conspiracy to get us all so annoyed that we dont order them as the government are in on it to promote healthy eating lolConspiracy theory, burgers, Chinese, Pizza etc ?
its because they carnt read there own writing
Not mine, you need to change your location!Conspiracy theory, burgers, Chinese, Pizza etc ?
Ha ha, very true ! I had to wait 25 minutes for fish fingers from mcdonalds drive thru on friday because they burnt the first lot, went mad about the wait, when i got the order the chips were freezing, that's just the most recent screw up to happen to me, there's loads! Sticking to burger king from now on.
Perhaps they do have a code. It may be how they keep people coming back.
I'm often the person in the shop whilst they are talking to you on the phone, and the problem usually would appear to stem from the fact they have about three staff and are trying to take, cook, pack and dispatch about 300 orders an hour whilst also taking care of various random children and shouting abuse at each other.
Stop eating rubbish and cook yourself good wholesome food, don,t be so bone idle there are quite a lot of dishes any one can cook up in 10-15 minutes, tasty food too. of course it will mean getting off your idle butt to wash up but that wont kill you, unlike the fast food junk you,re living on now.
Pay peanuts, get monkeys!
That answer your question?
Maybe Its because they are all dumb highschool kids who make 5.15 an hour and don't care if you get the right order.
Try being a Manager at one of those places. I got a friend who is, He makes damn good money(65k a year w/ no school) but its like baby sitting.
Its not that the kids are dumb, its their first job. They are nervous and screw up becasue of it.
My rder from Little Cesars Pizza was perfect last night! I think the trick is YOU have to be consistent patronizing the business, We are weekend regulars for deliveries and I tip well. However, they better not screw up our order or they will hear from me about it. No cussing, belittling or embarassing myself or anyone else for that matter. I am always a Lady!
I had a curry from a place once that they screwed up the order. When I phoned up. Surprise, Surprise. They didn't speak English and coudn't understand me. I've never used the place since.
maybe you need to order from some wear else if your not happy
hehehe, thts really must be frustrating
it never happens to me, and the secret is in two things:
1. if u order tht much, be a friend to the delivery guy %26amp; tip him once %26amp; a while, and he'll send it to u, before u hang up the phone
2. if u r really not a social kind of person "which i doupt this is right", call em every 5 minutes complaining about delays, misorders,...etc,
and they'll do ur order right nxt time
but my advice, never use number two, u'll never know wht kind of sick stuff, they'll do with ur food, like spitting on it, %26amp; stuff, yyyaaaaakk : P

Tell Me Would You Do This Job?!?
Hi All:
I am considering working at a chinese delivery restaurant.
7 dollars an hour and tips...
however no reimbursement for gas.
I figure that I would make average 10 dollars an hour in tips
so roughly 17.00 an hour. However, that doesnt include $ for gas.
My car get about 25 mpg... decent... its a pretty local delivery area.
Should I take it?
Is it worth it?
Thanks
AndrewTell Me Would You Do This Job?!?
If that is all that is available then take it. Don't count on everyone tippingTell Me Would You Do This Job?!?
I would take any job i could get, and if you dont like it, look for another job on the sideTell Me Would You Do This Job?!?
Minimum wage is $8 an hour. And gas is pretty expensive depending on the area you live in. I say work a day and see if you make more money than you spend on gas. Plus I think everyone loves chinese food. I do. Hahaha :)

Are there any healthy food deliveries?
I'm sick and tired of always ordering out pizza and my health's definitey not benfiting from it. I live in bethlehem, pa, do you know of any deliveries that provide healthier food than pizza or chinese? Are there any healthy food deliveries?
It always depends on HOW you order, I think. Chinese can be good, if you order the right thing. (Beef %26amp; broccoli- NOT General Tso)
Pizza isn't THAT bad if you go thin crust, easy cheese %26amp; more veggies than meat. Most pizza places have salad, too!
There's a book called Eat This, Not That- you should check it out. Did you know an egg McMuffin is the best breakfast- IF you remove the top muffin?

Found a big bug in my food?
Well today i ordered delivery chinese food bbq spare rib tips, and i found a big bug mixed in with the spare rib tips at first i thought it was a rip tip then i had a closer look its a big dead fly looking bug. am i entitled to a compensation of any sort.Found a big bug in my food?
they would just give you more food and from the sound of it you prolly don't want to eat there anymore
I FOUND ONE IN MY SUBWAY. i wan eating a subway sandwich and i saw a roch .and got pissed , what a waste of half a sandwich . i hate bugs. i piss on them when ever i see one.
No I don't think your entitled to a compensation because you never know what happened. Maybe a fly flew in your food without you noticing, or maybe the fly flew in the mixture of their batch unnoticed. People make mistakes and I say just let it go, however if this happens again at the same place then you can start talking about compensations.
I don't know about the compensation, but first I would inform them. I had that done to me with Pasta Pamadora and I informed them that it was a big, hairy fly under my salad leaf. The waitress picked it up and walked away like nothing happened. I just got up and left. Have not been there since. So, it all depends on how they conduct themselves and if it really put you off. I would not do it anymore. My brother works for Terminex and he said that if you see the bug, more than likely there is an infestation. I know is sounds gross.....but I'm looking out for everyone.Found a big bug in my food?
No but most will give you a discount/free meal for next time you come in if you decide to call in and complain.
[My input] Ok, I know that people hate bugs, hair and all that **** in their food. I get it, even I would be grossed out. But honestly? I don't think that it's a big enough deal in order to call in and complain. ALL RESTAURANTS HAVE BUGS IN THEM. The nicest, best 10 star restaurants all have bugs. I promise. So yes, occasional, they will get into the food. Because that is what bugs do. However, it isn't as if they put it there on purpose. They want to keep your business and would like to think that they are an good place to eat at, and when people call and complain, it ruins it. Especially when it's a small business as I assume this chinese food place is. I say deal with it, and throw it away or eat around it.
dang, that sucks. depends on the restaurant. They might just take it out for you or say sorry. I don't even think they might comp you.
no, but if the place is a good restaurant they would probably compensate you with something to keep their customers
yes, free food and a refunddickey s bbq

How do you ask out a Delivery Girl?
We get chinese delivered every saturday night. There is this youngish girl (around my age 26 I'd say) who has recently started turning up who never used to deliver. I think they have a few people on deliveries though because sometimes other people come. Anyway I normally chat a bit to her about her car or whatever and she seems like a nice girl and she's good looking and pretty. She's usually in a rush though as she's busy.
I like her but obviously I don't know if she's single or if she might like me at all. What would be a good way to ask her out or what would be something nice to say to her to test the water maybe?
I was thinking of maybe 'What do you reckon the chances are of me getting your phone number'?
The thing is if she's not interested I don't want to put her on the spot and surprise her and then she'll feel uncomfortable and won't know what to say?
Any help would be appreciated. She's delivered about 3 or 4 times now.
I 've already asked this but want to see If I get any good ideas.....Please no silly answers. How do you ask out a Delivery Girl?
Your method of asking for her number comes across as very timid and uncertain. It's inviting her to say, "pretty much nil."
When you're ordering from the place, you have to make it look like your place is the place to be. Delivery people naturally check out their customers' places when they come by. It's a way to make the run more interesting. So make sure you and your friends look like you're having fun when she comes -- music going, beers being drunk, maybe a little green getting burnt -- ask her what her name is, then invite her in for a minute when she brings the food. If she says no, tell her she should come back by when she's not working. Then say "let me get your number."How do you ask out a Delivery Girl?
well seeing as though you've only seen her 3/4 times you can only like her on looks but if you want her then ask her name, facebook her, get her number off that, meet up, take her out and get a bit of poon!

Put your number in the tip money. How do you ask out a delivery girl?
If she's Chinese, she probably comes from a very strict %26amp; traditional family and wouldn't be allowed to date a customer.
She's probably heard all the pickup lines before. She probably has all the sad single bloke customers trying it on with her and is fed up of their corny pickup lines. And if she's in her mid-20's do you know if she's already married? Especially if it's a family business. You may end up having her husband knocking on your door with a meat cleaver in his hand.sea ray

POLL: Do you still use cheques?
Or is it all plastic and cash for you? They're disappearing here in the U.K. Less and less shops are using them. I usually write one for my favourite Chinese delivery, that's it. X SarahPOLL: Do you still use cheques?
I use checks once in a while, but the stores here in the US give them back to the customer's after they process them.
I have to use checks sometimes. My car loan company charges 10 bucks to process an online payment. Screw that!
At a store, I use debit cards or sometimes cash if I have it on me.POLL: Do you still use cheques?
I never have and never will use cheques because they stole my cat.

How long does it take to ship goods from china, is it worth the problems that arise deaking with overseas sell
We are trying to import goods from china but are worried about the quality and quantity and delivery times. We are also worried about the payment types as the chinese require 30% deposits up front. How long does it take to ship goods from china, is it worth the problems that arise deaking with overseas sell
If you buy from China you need to have a sample first on small items to check most will send this if they are interested in your business. As of carriage most will send FOB from a port near them to a port closest to you then you have to transport to your warehouse.I don't know what sort of goods you are after, you should start by searching some web pages i have added two but there are many to chose from.I do business for company's from China for export to the US for many things,i even go to there factory's to see there Quality some times. As of the 30% that's normal on trade world wide many use TT or LC on payments. If the packing is of wood remember it needs to have a fumigated certificate to say its done as many are fussy on this. How long does it take to ship goods from china, is it worth the problems that arise deaking with overseas sell

Establish contractual parameters with your vendor concerning quality and shipping times. If your vendor has done business with the USA before, they already know the approximate shipping times to most ports in the USA ... transit times will vary greatly, depending upon your preferred port of entry (west coast, gulf or east coast). As far as payment terms are concerned, it would be better to open a letter of credit ("L/C") through a U.S. commercial bank. It will protect you in case the provisions of the sales contract aren't met (quality, quantity, etc.). Just be sure to make your quality standards and shipping times an integral part of the L/C and spelled-out in writing. If they don't comply, they don't get paid.

Why is Bush administration so upset that OTHER countries are BANNING nuclear weapons within own territories??
Kazakhstan,Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan %26amp; Turkmenistan have committed themselves NOT to produce, buy or allow the deployment of nuclear weapons on their soil. These countries are in very strategic region.Manas airbase in Kyrgyzstan, is important US base.Has proximity to Afghanistan and is located near immense energy reserves of the Caspian Basin and Russian and Chinese frontiers The U.S. had plans for potential use of nuclear weapons in Iraq, and has been involved in planning potential use of nuclear weapons in Iran
In addition, the U.S. is now involved in a massive program to overhaul its nuclear arsenal, working to replace every nuclear warhead and all of the existing delivery systems in the arsenal to ensure prompt precision global strike capabilities. So the United States is openly using the threatened use of nuclear weapons around the world.
We're beginning to lose strategic support.
This is troubling
It is also a sign of things to come. Why is Bush administration so upset that OTHER countries are BANNING nuclear weapons within own territories??
I don't know..why is it that US think it has the rights to own nuclear weapons and not other countries like N. Korea?
What's so great about the US anyway? So much so that they think they are the best country in the world? Why isn't George Bush Jr. charged for war crimes? Stinking butt head of a president..Why is Bush administration so upset that OTHER countries are BANNING nuclear weapons within own territories??
Go back to school! The U.S. has been destroying the nukes for several years and will continue to do so till they are all gone. The former USSR has many rogue states that have sold the nuke ability to different countries.
WHERE did you get the information that the U.S was going to nuke Iraq or even Iran for that matter? Why is Bush administration so upset that OTHER countries are BANNING nuclear weapons within own territories??
did we ever have strategic support?

When are you violating child labor laws?
Ok, there is this crap box Chinese food place in town, and this 8 year old is basically running it, he takes all the phone calls, rings people up, hands out the food, aside from the fact he never gets the order right, and my last delivery order never showed up, Im curious when does it become a violation? When are you violating child labor laws?
if it is a family business child labor laws do not applyWhen are you violating child labor laws?
There is always a minimum age. Even in a family business. 8 yrs old is definitely too young. When are you violating child labor laws?
I would say that they are already violating child labor laws. Report it.

Has anyone in China ordered anything onlone from Topshop?
I am moving to China and was thrilled to see Topshop deliver there (I will never fit into Chinese sizes!)
I've heard international deliveries aren't always very reliable there, has anyone ever successfully ordered from Topshop online?
Thanks!Has anyone in China ordered anything onlone from Topshop?
Do be careful, perhaps trying ordering small first instead of a big shipment. I've heard of ppl with not very good experiences.
I've only ordered from topshop in the uk and it although i had to return something, it was all very easy and went smoothly.Has anyone in China ordered anything onlone from Topshop?

What all care is needed for a female to be taken after she delivers a baby, so that she regains her vigour ?
After a female delivers a baby , i have heard that she may fall sick if she doesn't take care of herself. I have heard that there are Chinese and Homeopathy and Ayurvedic medicines prescribed for a lady after delivery so that she gets back to her normal shape and doesn't gain extra kilos. Do suggest all alternative therapies or something about the traditional culture which has been practiced to take care of lady and baby. What all care is needed for a female to be taken after she delivers a baby, so that she regains her vigour ?
Be very careful of alternative medicines, unless they are already a part of your culture. It would really be a mistake to use those measures improperly.
It is uncomfortable, but icepacks will help reduce the pain in the pelvic region for a few days after delivery, and make it easy to get back into the routine of exercise.
Ideally, the woman should engage in exercises during pregnancy, under the guidance of a prenatal trainer, to keep the physical tone and ease delivery. What all care is needed for a female to be taken after she delivers a baby, so that she regains her vigour ?
There is no alternative medicine in my opinion, she needs to really rest for 2 weeks after delivering, then start moving more, eating right, exercise anfter 6 weekspf changs locations

However, since the company start until now,we could not find any company would like to pay little attention for us.
We had called , sent fax and mail. There just no one show they precious passion for us.Some of them had answer the phone and promised will reply the mail. But none.
Some of my friend told me that we are not in a good phase to start a trading house as Chinese Government does not encourage to export now.And exchanging rate are change everyday(Chinese Yuan against US dollar).

We just can not meet with each other.
Does someone knows how tHow can I become a success business runner in China.?
Sorry I don't have an answer to your problem, but I suggest you use the China version of Y! questions. (click on China at the bottom of this page). Someone within China is much more likely to understand your problems and how to work through them. Good luck with your new business. How can I become a success business runner in China.?
Great question!
Don't get focused on the type of business (trading house...I'm not sure what that is).
Look around where you live. Find a need and fill-it. See what people need (and are willing to buy) that they are unable to get...Then get it to them.
It's always good to write a business plan.
Now: perhaps you meant that you have products made locally that you would like to sell elsewhere in the world. If that is what you meant, send me an email and I'll be pleased to respond.
Keep Smiling! Good Fortune to you!

Buying a handgun for my new job?
I just got a new job as a delivery driver in Pennsylvania, there are a few unsafe areas that they offer delivery, and I was wondering if I should buy a gun to carry with me? It is in Pittsburgh, and it's delivering Chinese food, if that matters!
Thanks!Buying a handgun for my new job?
The first thing you need to do is check with your employer and find out what their policy is. Next, you need to check on state laws as Dan suggested. He is also correct about making a choice and practicing.
Spock's advice, on the other hand, is rather naive. People who are going to rob you don't always just walk up and announce that they're about to take your money. For example: when I was a cop, I had 2 friends who both delivered pizza for the same place. Policy was to not carry more than $20, in an effort to make them a less appealing target to would-be thieves. The first was jumped one night by 3 guys with baseball bats, who popped up from behind some bushes. They put him in the hospital for $15 and a pepperoni pizza. The second was a reserve with our sheriff's office. After what happened to the first guy, she started carrying her duty pistol, a 1911. One night as she was walking back to her car after delivering a pizza, a guy came at her from behind another parked car. She had enough time to draw her weapon. He saw it, stopped, then ran away. None of those 4 people were ever caught (at least not for those crimes...as is often the case, I would not be surprised if they were eventually put away for something else).Buying a handgun for my new job?
Well, first you need to find out the laws on carry ( you will need a CCW or Conceal Carry Weapon licens if you plan on carrying concealed) you can learn the laws from a local shooting range or gun shop. Rent a few and decide what you like/don't like. Research it, ask questions. And go shooting offten, the time and money spent could save your life!Buying a handgun for my new job?
i hope and pray that people don't get held up over an order of Kung Pao Chicken.
if you don't have any cash of your own with you -- it's pretty much your employer's problem, isn't it?

Do takeaway delivery drivers?
deliberatly fanny about for change on purpose so that you say keep the change? last night my chinese was 6.20 and i gave her 10.00 but she took so long and i wanted to just eat it that i said keep the change.she looked like shed won the bloody lotteryDo takeaway delivery drivers?
they are not daft are they
No, you were just impatient.Do takeaway delivery drivers?
i guess cuz they need the money
They probably don't get paid a lot our chinese take-away is just round the corner from me and they charge a pound for delivery so there is no way i would give a tipDo takeaway delivery drivers?
You should of just let her keep it anyhow, saves you the time.
thats how they make there money
OH MY GOD!!!
I KNOW!!!
they do take the p.i.s.s dont they my indian delivery guy does it all the time sometimes he says oh im short on the change i will give it to you next time, he done 2 times in a row so i rang the indian to complain and got a free starter but thats not the point i said so i told them not to send that driver again!!!
yes i think they do just like the waitress' at sonic
My mate used to do deliveries for a chinese takeaway and I occasionaly kept him company, he puprosefully used to add 拢1 more than he was supposed to and would tell people he had no change just to make an extra quid.
Tell you what though, the chinese had the funniest thing I have ever seen in its window, some customer asked them if they could put up a lost poster in their window.
It said have you seen this cat and had a picture of it.
You couldn't make it up!!
Next time.....Ask them if they do free home delivery...if yes...pay for the meal and hitch a free ride home....it's cheaper that a cab..LOL
cause we're all after something for nothing!
When you're earning that kind of money you have to do something
They already charge an extra quid for delivery. Grrrrrrrrrrrrit makes me so mad ....
Take-away drivers etc., do not carry large amounts of cash, so that if they get robbed or mugged, then they don't lose too much money.
They get crap wages and so need every penny they can get.
When ever I order take-away.
I always have the correct money for the order ready, and a couple of quid for a tip.
Because they always get a tip, I always get an excellent service.
A three pound eighty tip...no wonder she looked like she won the lottery! I deliver Indian takeaways, and rely on tips to help pay for the petrol! Last night I had 拢1.83 after 5 hours driving. Other nights I've had six or seven pounds from maybe 4-5 deliveries. We rely on tips...if it came to 拢6.20, why not say 'make it seven'? They've always got pound couns on them...and we do appreciate the tips!....Honest!
The answer, in short, is "yes".
I have been a (food) delivery driver, and the fact is, a great percentage of your income depends of how well customers tip. Depending on the country/city you live in, the hourly wages that drivers are paid might vary, but tips are really the "bread and butter" of a delivery driver.
Of course, it's also a matter of common sense, courtesy, and judgement (I have known drivers who possess NONE of these qualities). If someone's total for food is (as in your case) $6.20, and (unlike you) they use a $20 to pay, it should be common sense that they do NOT intend to tip the driver $13.80. But some, less tactful drivers might ask, "did you want any change back?"
If it were me (doing the delivering) in that case, I'd start by giving the customer the $10 bill. Then I'd start to sort of fumble around, looking for the $1 bills. The idea is to give the customer the opportunity to say "thats OK, just keep it", before you've actually given back ALL of his change. The secret is to make it look natural, ie, not to appear as though you're hesitating...just trying to be careful and accurate with the money.
no idea
Probably..... and I think taxi drivers would also be some of the wisest people when it comes to social interaction.
They need to use their skills (some of them have them) to avoid being killed or beaten, to enjoy some reasonable rapport with the arseholes that would insult them while they are rendering an invaluable service, and to retain your loose change to supplement their meagre income.
Probably. I think that is how they make their money. I am a mean git and always ask the takeaway to tell me in advance how much it will be, so I can have as close to the right money as possible!!!!
this is a test from our lord jesus christ, and is a lesson in patience.

Culturally speaking: Why do some people find it so hard to tip their Delivery guy?
I never understood why people find it so hard to tip the delivery guy....I always tip my delivery guy..I think its wrong not to. Maybe because Im just considerate but after I seen this 80 year old chinese lady deliver my food I made an oath to always tip them. I don't tip the ones who try to screw me over though. Actually I even confront them like I know how much it costs, why you tryna play me? ........Ya knowCulturally speaking: Why do some people find it so hard to tip their Delivery guy?

How to get rid of this Chinese wholesales spam (which sends offers to my friends list).?
This really annoying Chinese website is using my address book as customers. It sends messages lying that I joined this sales program trying to sell laptops. Now its targeting people I don't know. Of course I can spam it, but its not going to stop trying to sell stuff to my friends. I've gotten many delivery failure notices on my account. Please Help. How to get rid of this Chinese wholesales spam (which sends offers to my friends list).?
What you and your contacts must do is change your password and do a full system scan. It will stop. At one time one of your contacts or you received a forward email that had spyware attached to it. So it attached itself to your contacts. This is happening to many at this time. I had the experience myself. I got a worm out of it. Cost me some money.
There will be nothing in the sent bin.How to get rid of this Chinese wholesales spam (which sends offers to my friends list).?
Sounds like your E-mail account has been compromised, or you picked up a virus, Thomas.
Immediately have your computer checked for a 'bug' or 'bugs.' If you have the proper programs, do the scans yourself, if not you need to take your computer to some one who can.
Once it is clean of pests, install a firewall and an anti-virus program if you do not have one yet.
I strongly recommend a program for malware and adware also.
After you finish this, then go in and change your password, using a good strong one.
Also, check your account information and make sure no information was changed, if it was change it back immediately.
Then, you will have to inform your contacts that it was not you sending that mail, but they need to check their computers in case they were also infected.

My friend prank called a Chinese and ordered a chow mein to collect?
heyyy so me and my m8 are 13 and we prank called a chinese restaurant. heres how it went:
my friend calls:
woman; hello this is the lucky house chiense what would you like
friend: (speaks in a weird accent) one chow mein please
woman: collection or delivery
friend: can i collect it in 10 minuutes
woman; yes that would be great thank you
we wont get fined will we? we did no threats or any abusive language. it was just for fun... avrilxxMy friend prank called a Chinese and ordered a chow mein to collect?
First of all, that's pretty ****** up. It's one thing to prank call, but to prank call and have them MAKE food that they're gonna have to throw away--or at least not get profit from? That's a waste of food and time. And I feel bad for that Chinese restaurant. Don't do it again please, it's silly. I know you're 13 (and trust me, when I was 13 i LOOOVED prank calling) but don't do that kinda thing to an innocent person to make them go out of their way for nothing----what did they do to you? So if you're gonna prank call, keep it to friends and family and just mess around with them. Don't let it get serious. Anywho, No, I don't think you'll have anything to worry about. All you ordered was chow mein, not a $30 meal. Just don't do that thing again, because you definitely CAN get in trouble with the law. Haven't you ever heard of *67 ? Or is that just in the United States?
Prank phone calls can be considered to constitute phone harassment, which is illegal and actionable. Obscenities are not necessarily on of the defining characteristics of a harassing phone call. Your call is easily traceable.
In addition, if the restaurant prepares the food, and has it waiting for someone who never comes you have cost them money in both labor and goods. Essentially you have stolen from them and reduced their ability to make a profit with which they can support themselves. You might say "Well, we did it only once." Consider the results if the restaurant that makes a policy change on how they handle phone orders because of your actions that makes it just a little harder for the customers to order and pick-up. They might lose customers and their profits. They might have to close, causing people to lose their jobs.
As you are claiming to be 13, you are likely laughing at this answer. Please remember that there are always consequences to your actions. YOU may not feel the repercussions, which is unfortunate, but someone else might.
Try to think about the other people potentially involved when you decide to do something stupid before you do it.My friend prank called a Chinese and ordered a chow mein to collect?
hah. I used to love prank calling. Nothing will happen to you sweetheart. It was all in good fun and they probably won't even bother to track you down it probably happens to them consistently.
Saw this on unfriendable! :P
You might, it's illegal and really rude.My friend prank called a Chinese and ordered a chow mein to collect?
If you used a Land-Line phone they might track you down. Some restaurants will actually press charges. use a cellphone :P
No its harmless childish fun. When no ome gets it they give it to someone or throw away. :)

Is it just me or have you gone off Chinese food recently?
it used to be a favourite of my mine for delivery take away or restaurant but now I dont like it! it always seems so fattening and full of chemicals.... I feel like if I eat chinese food its the most calorific thing and its always greasy and too salty. Im just wondering if anyone else has found this -
I love indian food now, it seems so well prepared and cooked with real passion and talent. Chinese just seems processed...
Saying that though, Im sure there are some great chinese restaurants out there, but I have seen any for a long time where I live. which is the UK by the wayIs it just me or have you gone off Chinese food recently?
For the most part I agree. I still love the way they cook duck, and if you hunt around you can find some good chinese soups. I wish they had more extensive selections when it came to soups though. I had an egg noodle soup with roast duck in chinatown nyc once, and it was one of the most delicious things I've ever eaten at any price. It was two dollars.
But yeah, I seem to be on an indian kick now too. It'd so ******* addictive. I'm craving it just about every day now. Balti, Madras, Jalfrezi, any of those. I had something at heathrow in the british airways lounge that tasted like an indian version of chili. I wish I knew the name of it, because it was phenomenal. Also I like naan but I don't see why chapatis aren't more popular. They've got to be healthier, and to me they seem like indian tortillas. Usually I opt for them over naan. I'm also hooked on chana masala. I'm so glad indian food is so popular in the UK. The chinese here does suck terribly though. It's much better in the states. Especially on the coasts.
Many restaurants Indian, Thai and Chinese don't cook from scratch anymore. Many of the vegetables are fresh but the meat is usually frozen and they buy pre-prepared stocks and pastes from cash-and-carry suppliers to create the basic flavour then occasionally add their own flourish.
If you can get hold of the stocks and pastes you are most of the way their to making the dish at home.Is it just me or have you gone off Chinese food recently?
We have a lot of self-service Oriental restaurants where I live (we had four at their peak, although one is now a Japanese restaurant) and the quality of the food has gone down. They are making big profits, and are now buying cheaper, inferior ingredients to make even more of a profit. As a result I have gone off Chinese cooking. :(
I think indian takeaway food is of much better quality than chinese usually, not really when it comes to the meat but with the spices used etc. Indian food requires lots of spice blending and slow cooking whereas chinese food in the UK is more about deep frying and coating in a 'sweet and sour' sugar syrup. Is it just me or have you gone off Chinese food recently?
It's unfortunate really because there is some really tasty and healthy Chinese food. In my area there are a few traditional places popping up and the food is great and not covered with sugar and salt.
I love Chinese food and Indian food, which is becoming more and more popular in my area.
I haven't gone off Chinese food. I was never into it in the first place. I do not consider that stuff to be food.
nah its you
just like all foods our taste buds get used to certain flavours tastes etc
so keep tryin diff things from the chinese and not always the same
I like it but my 11yr child has gone off it big time

Don't eat Chinese food in Times Square when you can go to Chinatown, seriously.

Cost of Chinese registered airmail?
I was wondering what the cost in US dollars is, to ship say a 3 oz. package to the USA. I have purchased several jewelry items from a seller in Hong Kong- all of them were 99 cents each, with free shipping. This was not a scam either, I received them! Are they able to make a profit on these sales? Is the Chinese post super cheap? Even if it was, how would it bypass the cost of having the US couriers finish the delivery when it lands here?Cost of Chinese registered airmail?
Form of Delivery (Normal)
Surface mail HK $ 5.60
Air HK $ 9.10
Form of Delivery (Speedpost) HK $ 107
1 US $ = HK $ 7.75

Why do the cooks at the Chinese restaurant stare at Blacks? Why so rude?
I go to the Chinese restaurants every so often. I love Chinese food. When I walk in the cooks start staring at me as soon as I walk up to the counter. What the hell is their problem? Are they afraid that I am going to steal or something? It gets annoying. So just because I don't wear business attire, I get the "we are watching you look". Also, one time I ordered delivery and the driver wouldn't even come to the door. I met him in the parking lot, he barely looked at me. I counted the money in front of him, then he recounted it? Then left, not even a thank you. I spend a lot of money in that place and they could at least show some respect. This is not the only chinese restaurant that does this. I will be taking my business elsewhere and I can do without the attitude. Why do the cooks at the Chinese restaurant stare at Blacks? Why so rude?
Asians are known to have very little people skills. I'm an asian myself, and every time I go to a chinese restaurant, I get the "what you want?" (when taking my order), or "Hah?!" when they didn't hear me.
One time, my husband (he's white) used his Visa Gift Card for payment (he doesn't know the remaining balance on the card), and the owner marched up to our table, handed the card to my husband in a rude manner and said there isn't enough balance in the card. So my husband gave him another CC and apologized. He marched back to the counter where his wife was waiting, and they both mumbled on how annoying people can be, and why even bother to dine out when they have no money (in mandarin). I gave them serious stare, and they instantly knew that I understood what they said.
We walked out the restaurant, and they too pretended that we weren't there. No thank you's, no Pls come again whatsoever. If the asian restaurants that you went to belongs to those from China or Korea, they are usually very rude. But if they're from Thailand, Taiwan or Japan, they are usually more courteous. When I have one single bad experience in a restaurant, I usually never go there again. I don't care for excuses (it was a bad day, not doing good etc), when you're in this business, you're suppose to maintain a good image, and if you can't do that, close your business.
So don't take it personally, it has nothing to do with blacks. They just have bad people/ social skills.
While I never managed to get a clear answer as to why, it would seem that the more racist types amongst the Chinese seem to really dislike black people (more so than other racists who are against blacks). When directly confronted on it, the best answer I've gotten is "They're intimidating".
I know, I don't get it either, but please don't judge all Chinese people based on the jerks that are acting poorly around you.Why do the cooks at the Chinese restaurant stare at Blacks? Why so rude?
How rude! I would have said something! I find that when I go to Chinese food places, the people are rude to me, too. (I'm white) I don't know what it is about them, but they need to be a little nicer. It seems like they rush me in and out. Like they want to get rid of me or something. Next time, speak up!
It's not just Chinese restaurants, it's everywhere. People are very rude. Blacks are no different than Whites. It's a skin color; doesn't make them bad people. Actually, there have been many murders and rapers that are White or Chinese. I honestly think that that is very retarded and people need to grow up.Why do the cooks at the Chinese restaurant stare at Blacks? Why so rude?
Forgive me if I sounded racist. It was not my intention to sound like that. You must understand that Blacks made up a significant portion in the crime population.
But yes, those people were very rude!!!!!!!! Racism and stereotypes are evil, no matter what.
My point is that nothing could justify those people who stared at you. However, I hope that you could understand them a bit.
Just smile at them and wave in a flirtatious way. That should turn their faces red and maybe they'll get back to cooking. It should stop after you do that.
My mexican husband gets these looks at the chinese buffet because he eats so much. I'm not kidding they are probably pissed and would like to charge him double if they could. are you eating a lot?
Stare back.
There are very rude people in this world. Look, don't worry about them. Coming from an asian myself i have seen some really rascist koreans too and some are from my family. I had this issue when i had a gf who was white and my dad flipped over it. We eventually couldn't date and i asked him why and he said americans are so disrespectful....TALK ABOUT HYPOCRITES! I guess i can understand why they think that and it's because the way they were born and taught when they were young. Koreans for example are very uptight in living...basically as a child, you go to school, come back at night, study, sleep, no hanging out with friends, etc. and when they see an american having fun at a young age, i think it bugs them. Don't worry though, i hate it when people do that to other people. There are some nice people in this world who don't think like that of others and i am thankful i don't. Next time you encounter something like that just ignore them because causing a scene will make it worse. Good Luck.
I lived in China for over 6 years and I know for a fact that STARING isn't considered rude at all. Everywhere I went I had thousands of eyes on me. Not only do they stare, they'd touch my skin and hair, as well as talk about me in Chinese to each other as if I could not understand.. and even after knowing I can speak Chinese fluently, they'lll still say whatever they want right in front of me.
Such as, "wow, Americans are so fat." "How much do you weigh?" Wow, her feet are so big!!" (I wear size 8)
Anyways, hope that helps. Sure, they should adapt to our customs but know that most of the people working in Chinese restaurants over here are pretty much indentured servants that work for a person or organization for like 10 years in exchange for passage and visa to America.
