How do you choose a restaurant to eat at?

I've been working at a Chinese restaurant while in college for over a year now. Recently we switched owners, and the new owner is struggling to make ends meet. I feel like a large part of that is because of construction on the street in front of the store-there is no parking; however, our business is mostly a delivery one. We do have many tables in the store for people to dine in though. I was wondering what makes you choose a restaurant to eat at, and how we could make business better?
