My debit card was charged twice from a chinese restaurant. i ordered food over the phone.?

i called for a delivery and used my card to get chinese food. the order was $20.65.



i closely monitor my chase online bank statement. after i order, i see one charge for 20.65, forty minutes later after its delivered and i have my food, i see a second charge for the same amount.



over the phone i think they were having technical difficulties, i hear the cash register printing some kind of paper or jamming from over the phone for 30 seconds and they ask for my card number the second time.



i do not know exactly how the credit system works for them, all i know is that all i need to give them is my card number and expiration date. it is a pending transaction for a few days.My debit card was charged twice from a chinese restaurant. i ordered food over the phone.?
call the number on the back of your debit card to strike the charge.
Do not wait, Call your bank immediately and tell them your discovery.

Call the restaurant also and show them where the charges came twice. They will correct, If not, speak with the manager. It is faster to clear it with the merchant first and they will offer a credit but if that does not work, then you can dispute it with the bank. it happens alot at rest. it will come off in a few days they run it twice then after you sign for some reason they do it again it has something to do with a tip i have had this happen 4-5 times and it always comes off why it happens i dont know but it does if i am going to go out to eat now i make sure i have cash tip money so this doesnt happen again

All you have to do is call the credit card company and tell them and they will remove it from your bill. It is a no problem. They will see it immediately.
let chase know and they will credit your account for the second transaction, They will do a small investigation and the credit will be permanent once they confirm the double charge.
contact them again or go to the restaurant in person to explain the mistake. maybe they will be able to refund your money.
take your statement and let them know. they should refund you $20.65.
