Problem with Chinese takeaway 25 pounds minimum delivery!?

Hey,



Im from the uk and i have a issue with a Chinese takeaway , they wont deliver to my area because they say its outside there delivery area , but im in Milton Keynes , and so are they , they are ruffly 15 - 20 minutes away from me , and they refuse to let me have the minimum order which is over 10 pounds.



My girlfriend phoned them and they blagged her with the same old story , its not in the range , but im starting to think there generalizing my estate as a bad estate and thats why there charging more , there is nothing wrong with my estate what so ever!



Ive lived here 3 years and never seen a crime.



What can i do about this? There food is very nice and i would love to be able to order from them but at there prices its impossible for me.Problem with Chinese takeaway 25 pounds minimum delivery!?
I agree, I have a Chinese place that is farther then that from me and they deliver, but when I lived in a trailer park, I could only find one place to deliver :|Problem with Chinese takeaway 25 pounds minimum delivery!?

Seeing as they are a private business, they have the right to set the terms and conditions of any service that they provide. They have set a delivery area where they deliver. You do not live in that area.



You say that you are 20 minutes away from the shop. For them to deliver to you, they would have to spend 20 minutes traveling to your location, at least 10 minutes delivering, and then 20 minutes returning. This would be the better part of an hour delivering one order.



On closer in deliveries, the usually can send out one runner with several orders and the runner is back in a shorter period of time.



The have made it clear that the only way that they will deliver to you is if the order is large enough to be profitable for them. If you want their food, and do not want to order the minimum, you will have to go pick it up yourself As you said, they are only 15-20 minutes away, so it should not be a problem for you.
