How much to tip chinese delivery guy?

I don't usually have things delivered so I have no idea what to tip.

Here are the factors:

My order is about $8.50

Its about 8 miles from the chinese place to my house

Also, I'm acquaintances with the delivery guy and I'd feel bad just giving him a $10 and telling him to keep the rest because that would only be $1.50.. which is more than a 15% tip but it doesn't seem like enough. What would be a good tip considering the distance and my bill? How much to tip chinese delivery guy?
5$.
You can always give him $5...and now i want some chinese food...How much to tip chinese delivery guy?
Traditionally the tip is usually 10% - 20%, so you're in the range. Some delivery places compensate for mileage, so it's a little easier on their employees, since they usually use their own vehicles. Realistically, the tip rate is up to you. I don't get much delivered, but when I do, I tend to gauge their personalities and politeness toward me. Since the delivery person is an acquaintance, that probably tacks on a little. When my orders are around the ten dollar range, I give the guy a twenty and ask for a five back. In restaurants, if my order is around twenty dollars or so, I usually tip 100% if the waiter, or waitress, is really friendly.

Eight miles isn't really all that far, if you think about it, and would probably put him out one gallon of gas, or so. Me, personally, I would just give him fifteen dollars out of a twenty. :)
Well you know the guy so i would say a 5 spot would be good considering the distance alsoHow much to tip chinese delivery guy?
I would say about three dollars seeing as you know the guy.
I would say between $3-$5 seeing as you know the guy, it would be kinda rude not to tip.
